The Go Brennan Scholarships 2010 video has just been release on YouTube.com

This fall Brennan breaks out on his own by offering the Go Brennan Scholarships 2010 through his own foundation, The Livingood Foundation - www.TheLivingoodFoundation.org.

You can view the video at: www.youtube.com/watch?v=xu8ng8otP0k.

The 4 minute YouTube video promotes careers in manufacturing and industry to other your men and women who, like Brennan, are not interested in the typical education and career choices they have been given.

Brennan says, "Do you like working with your hands? Then maybe you should consider getting a vocational education in skills used in industry for a job doing things that you actually enjoy doing!" That's pretty good advise since skilled and certified workers are still in high demand.

Students can apply for the scholarships by submitting their own video response to Brennan's YouTube page. Applicants are encouraged to tell a little about themselves and "make it interesting". Also, the earlier they get their response in the better chance they have of being selected.

For the first 6 responses, Brennan will award a copy of the Student Cad Software by SolidWorks with a certificate to get SolidWorks Certified for free. for more information about the software visit: www.SolidWorks.com/goEDU.

All responses must be in by December 1st, 2009 for consideration. Winners will be notified through their YouTube accounts by December 15th, 2009.

Livingood Motorsports driver "Chills" in Minneapolis

Even in sunny Florida, there isn't much racing going on in January. That gave Livingood Motorsports driver Brennan Palmiter the opportunity to travel to Missouri and Minnesota to speak about his racing experience and how it relates to the craft of welding and fabricating. Brennan visited 9 schools to encourage fellow students to do as he does; stay in school, stay out of trouble, and find something in life that you can be passionate about.

Brennan states, "I guess the most remarkable thing I found in Minnesota was how cold it was and all the snow! Being from Florida I've never seen snow before. Otherwise, the kids I meet were all just like me. They are just sort of trying to figure out where they fit in and what they want to do when they finish school. I hope the passion I have for racing and welding will rub off a little bit and help them focus on doing something that gives them satisfaction in their lifes."

Brennan used this opportunity to announce that he is forming "The Livingood Foundation", a non-profit entity to raise funds so he can travel to speak at schools all over the country about the many great career opportunities in manufacturing.

For additional information about the Livingood Foundation or to enquire about Brennan coming to speak at your school or event, please call Robert at Berbranon Marketing - 386-676-9756.

Livingood Motorsports season starts off with a bang!

After 3 long months of waiting, the Livingood Motorsports team took to the track for the World Series of Asphalt, Limited Late Model 50 at New Smyrna Speedway.

"We were thinking of this event as a way to work the bugs out of the car from some of the changes we made over the off season so we expected a few bumps along the way" says Brennan Palmiter, Dricver od the #27 Livingood Motorsports Chevrolet, "We just didn't expect the motor to blow up since we just had it freashened up late last summer."

But blow up it did and the team had to sit out the last 35 laps of the event in the pits.

"I never liked that motor anyway" states Robert Palmiter, owner of Livingood Motorsports LLC, "I had been trying to get Brennan to let me buy him a new motor so now I guess I will finally get my way!" By the end of the week the team had a new spec motor in their shop that has about 50 more horsepower than the old one did so things are looking even beeter for the 2008 season.

Livingood Motorsports finishes the season 2nd in points

Through a tumultuous year of learning the ropes, the Livingood Motorsports team brought their driver in for a 2nd place finish in the Late Model points at New Smyrna Speedway in Samsula, FL. "After the driver who had been dominating the points for the entire year was found to be running an illegal motor, we found ourselves just 40 points or so out of 1st place." says team owner Robert Palmiter. "There was actually an outside chance that we could have won the championship but lady luck didn't fall our way. From the beginning, I knew that the other drivers would have to lose the championship because we were just not good enough yet to win it."

The Livingood Motorsports team is now looking at their options to race a Limited Late Model next year. "They really only race these cars here in Florida so traveling is sort of out of the question especially when you factor in the cost of the fuel to pull the trailer to the tracks. Right now we are planning to still run at New Smyrna Speedway but only the races that are at least 50 laps or more. These races are usually run a lot better than the regular Saturday night shows and are attended by the better drivers in the state. I think running a few less events will allow us to be better prepared and since these races are 50 to 100 laps each, Brennan will get a lot more seat time."

Livingood Motorsports was sponsored for the 2007 season by Culligan Water of Daytona Beach, AutoTrader.com,Miller-Leaman, Inc., Dunn Insurance Associates - also of Daytona Beach, Universal Pest Control and Winchester Computers of Daytona Beach. A few others who are helping them out in with free or reduced priced parts, supplies or services were, Golds Gym of Ormond Beach, Pure Power Lubricants, Oakley Racing Aparrel, GranSport Hi-Performance Brake Pads, Real Wheels, ARP Bodies, and Outlaw Brakes.

Livingood Motorsports hits a Dog Days snag

The summer has brought about a storm of activity at Livingood Motorsports. An anticipated summer break in the racing schedule allowed for the team to make several changes to their car and test these changes in an effort to get set up for a late season challenge for the championship.

After consulting fellow racer, BJ McLeod, who has 100's of super late model wins, the team set out with a list of things they needed to change on the car. "We started at the front end and changed every single angle of the suspension as well as all the springs and shocks." states car owner Robert Pamiter, "It took us 3 days to get everything just the way BJ wanted it. Then, we took off to the track to test."

At the track the test didn't go very well. First they found that the steering box was broken but there was one other thing that gave them concern as well. There was very little oil pressure in the engine. "I had been telling everybody that the oil pressure was low but no one would listen to me", says Brennan Palmiter, driver of the #27 Livingood Chevrolet. After a quick call to the engine builder, they decided the engine had to come out and go back for an inspection. The inspection revealed that the oil pump pick up had broken off and as a result of low oil pressure the bearings and the camshaft had been damaged.

A search for a replacement engine didn't turn up anything that would work so the team has had to sit out the last 3 scheduled races while their engine is being repaired. "The first race we missed was one I was really looking forward too." explains Brennan, "It was the last 50 lap race of the season and it was also a double points night." The summer weather has been working in the teams favor though as the other 2 races were both rained out leaving the team still sitting safely in the 3rd position in the points. The teams planed to be ready for the next race scheduled on August 11th.

For race reports, pictures, and video of their races, visit www.GOBrennan.com.

Livingood Motorsports announces their 2008 Marketing Program

Things are moving quickly at Livingood Motorsports. You would expect that for a racing team but it is not even half way through the 2007 season and they are already planning their marketing program for 2008.

"We'd love it if it were enough to just put our sponsor's name on the side or the hood of our racecar but it's not", says Robert Palmiter, owner of Livingood Motorsports. "Everybody notices a shinny race car but most never go to the race track where we race so we've decided to take the race car to them."

Livingood Motorsports is counting on the public's interest in NASCAR and other forms of motorsports to use their race team, race car and driver as a major draw at events through out Volusia County. "We plan on exhibiting at between 20 and 25 Home Shows, Senior Expos, the County Fair, radio and television related remotes, and other public events where 100's if not 1000's of people regularly attend. "We hope that people from all around Volusia County will see the #27 Livingood Motorsports Chevrolet everywhere they go" says Palmiter. "Then, we will be giving our Marketing Partners and Sponsors real value for their association with our race team."

If you have an event where you would like Livingood Motorsports to attend, or if your company might be interested in becoming a Marketing Partner with Livingood Motorsports, please contact Robert Palmiter at 386-676-9756 or write for more information.

Livingood Motorsports starts the season off slow

The first 4 races of the 2007 season were filled with head scratching and hair pulling as the Livingood Motorsports team struggle and worked through several problems with their car. First it was the brakes hanging up and then the air box collapsed. In the first race a power steering hose came apart. Then, they got a miss in the engine and thought it was the ignition, which it may have been, but after rewiring the car they then developed a fuel delivery problem. Finally, after re-routing the fuel line and adding heat shields where the fuel line still crossed the radiator hose and exhaust, and the car still wouldn't run, they found that the pick up tube in the fuel tank was clogged. That's Racin!

Results? One DNF and 3 last place finishes, but the good news is that the Livingood Motorsports team wasn't the only one who was struggling. "One night we finished 2nd after all the cars but one wrecked!" says Brennan. Brennan now stands 3rd in the points. With 17 races to go in the season, and the race car starting to come around for them, they still have a pretty good shot at the championship.

Livingood Motorsports signs Noah Cornman as Development Driver

Livingood Motorsports is pleased to announce they have signed Noah Cornman as it first Development Driver.

Noah is 7 years old and races Go-Karts through out the state of Florida. "When we saw Noah's pictures and read about him, he reminded us so much of Brennan when he was young that we just had to get involved." says Robert Palmiter. "Noah's team was looking for funding but, if you do it right the first time, you don't need as much money. We plan to help them reduce the cost of learning things the hard way as well as hook them up with a few people who helped us out when we were in karting."

"Getting help is so hard to do and then sometimes you pay people to help you and they still don't!" says Brennan. "I'm not the greatest driver out there but I've run the class that Noah runs and I've won at the tracks that Noah races at so I'm going to try to help him do what I did sooner than I did. I think this is going to be really fun."

You can read more about Noah Cornman at his web site: www.CornmanRacing.com.

Brennan Palmiter wins Late Model Rookie of the Year

The 2006 New Smyrna Speedway Awards Banquet brought a pleasant surprise to cap off an exciting year as Brennan was awarded Rookie of the Year honors for the Limited Late Model division. Brennan finished 9th in the points standing after only competing in 8 of the 22 races that were scheduled.

Preparations for the 2007 season are coming together as the car is almost back together after making several upgrades to the suspension and brakes. Unfortunately the engine will not be ready in time for us to race in the World Series of Asphalt during Speedweeks this year but we will be ready for the regular racing season at New Smyrna Speedway that starts on March 24th, 2007.

Brennan has been on the phone contacting local businesses almost non stop since mid summer of last year. Several companies have expressed strong interest in joining Livingood Motorsports as marketing partners on the #27 Cheverolet. Livingood Motorsports begins preparation for the 2007 season

Last Saturday marked the end of the 2006 season for the Livingood Motorsports teams and driver, Brennan Palmiter. Brennan finished his Limited Late Model schedule with a season high 4th place in the final race.

The process has already begun to prepare the car for the 2007 season. Less than 24 hours after the end of the last race the engine was out of the car and on it's way back to the motor builder for freshening and updates. Replacement body panels and mechanical parts are on order to put the car back in top form in anticipation of the return of the engine. When everything comes back together sometime in January, Brennan and his teams will be ready to head back to the track. All that is yet to be determined now is when.

Marketing partners who will step forward to put their name on the car will determine the number of races in next years schedule and when it will begin. Right now the tentative schedule only includes racing the regular Saturday night Limited Late Model program at New Smyrna Speedway throughout the 2007 season which will start sometime in March. If sponsors do come forward, and Brennan along with the Livingood Motorsports team is working very hard to make that happen, they will add races possibly in January and hopefully in February during Speedweeks at the World Series of Asphalt as well as one or more races in the Goodyear Challenge series that runs at several tracks around the state of Florida throughout the year.

Complete information about the team's Marketing Programs for the 2007 season is available here on line under the "Marketing Opportunities" link, or you can call Brennan or Robert at 386-676-7318.

Livingood Motorsports finishes 7th at 50 lap event

Coming off a confidence breaking wreck and a slow return, the Livingood Motorsports team cautiously entered the 50 lap event at New Smyrna Speedway last Saturday night.

"We knew we would probably qualify towards the rear and finish some where in the middle of the pack if everything went well." says car owner, Robert Palmiter, "So, our plan was to start a little slow and try to keep the leaders in sight for the first 25 to 30 laps and then, if we had a car that could run with the others, try to see if we could gain a few more positions in the last half of the race."

Driver Brennan Palmiter, in his first qualifying attempt in a late model, qualified the car 10th out of the 12 cars entered in the event. The field was headed up by Rick Clouser and Chuck Burkhaulter, a few of the top late models drivers in Florida, and then followed by the top New Smyrna Speedway Saturday night drivers Darren Brown and Alan Bruns. Further back in the field was a very fast racer from Batesville, AR enter by Mark Martin - Jared Landers, and a Roush Motorsports development driver - Sondi Eden.

In the race, turn 2 was the place where the drivers would have the most difficulty producing 3 spins which brought out the only cautions of the night. Jared Landers was the first to spin about mid way through the race and later, on lap 43, Brennan spun there as well. The final spin happened with 2 laps to go setting up a green, white, checker to the finish. Brennan Palmiter brought the Livingood Motorsports Chevrolet home on the lead lap in 7th place.

Livingood Motorsports gets back on track

It's been a long 6 weeks and lot of work but the Livingood Motorsports Chevrolet was back at New Smyna Speedway last Saturday to compete while preparing for the 50 lap feature race to be held next week on Saturday, October 7th.

"After the the set back we had in August, we were just looking at this race as a practice session to make sure that we had fixed all the damage from the wreck" states team owner, Robert Palmiter. He continues, "It turned out that we still had a bent spindle so it's a good thing that we didn't set our sights too high."

Driver Brennan Palmiter started the race near the end of the 10 car field in the 8th position and resolved to spend the entire 20 laps there as he grew more comfortable and confident with the car. After a late race caution, Brennan felt pretty good in the car and thought he might try to get up and race with the car ahead of him and try to pick up another position. That car's handling was off due to damage from the earlier incident and was pretty much running sideways through the turns so Brennan decided to lay back and not risk getting caught up in another wreck finishing the race where he started in 8th place.

Brennan explains his race strategy, "I always want to win but I finally realized that I haven't really had a winning car. I've been pushing the car and myself too hard. I just have to accept that it's going to take some time for my crew to get the car where it's capable of running up front but I also have to learn to be more patient so I'm going to use this time to do just that."

There are still 4 or 5 more races scheduled this year so you can expect to see the number 27 Limited Late Model work it's way to the front before the end of the year.

Livingood Motorsports suffers "one of those racing deals"

Brennan Palmiter brought the Livingood Motorsports Chevrolet back to New Smyrna Speedway with a hungry heart this Saturday night but his talent and desire couldn't overcome a lack of good racing luck.

The team's efforts started to go wrong even before the practice sessions began. First, Brennan forgot his racing shoes. Then, the spotter's radio was left in the car and subsequently flew out of the window onto the track and was run over by several cars as Brennan went out for his first practice. Finally, one of the brake pads slipped out of the left rear caliper and and was quickly eatten up by the wheel. After recovering the radio, which seemed to still work, and finding a replacement set of brake pads, it looked like things were going to finally settle down.

Then, Brennan pulling the outside poll when he was supposed to start at the rear. The potential to lead the race moved the otherwise cautious and patient racer to drive a little bit harder than he should have been at the early stages of the race. At lap 8 his luck ran out when he got together with a competitor coming off of turn 4 while making an inside pass. Havoc ensued and Brennan came to rest in turn one with a badly damaged race car and was unable to finish the race. "The car had been loose all night but I thought it was good enough to race. I just couldn't keep the car down coming off the corner while trying to keep my foot in the gas to pass." commented Brennan.

If the parts can get here in time, the Livingood Motorsports team will be back to New Smyrna on September 9th, but right now it doesn't look too promising. If not, they should be ready for the race on the 30th.
