Limited Late Model Our race car is the last of a dying breed. Built in 1999 by Lefthander, the Limited Late Model of that day featured a stock Camaro front clip attached to a fabricated tube chassis. The idea of this car is that we use the big springs that came in the Camaro and the stock mounting points and hardware. In addition, the Camaro clip is very stout and should be a little bit more forgiving if, or I guess we should say when, we do have an accident. |

We choose the Limited Late Model beacause this car is considered an economy class and it seemed that the drivers that race them are a little bit more concerend about tearing up their cars than those in other classes we looked at. We knew if we were going to go to a full size race car it was going to be expensive enough so we wanted to race with people who were as considerate as they could be of other racer's equipment. The drive train starts with a Chevrolet - Jimmy Cope SPEC Racing Engine that puts out close to 500 HP coupled to a 2 speed Richmond manual transmission. The power meets the ground through a Winters Quick Change rear end.
